June 16

Youth day.
 June 16 1976
June 16 is a South African Public Holiday. It commemorates the start of the Soweto Riots of 1976.
Youth day could be remembered as a conflict-ridden date, but instead it reminds us just how valuable our youth is. And just how precious our lives are.

The night before youth day i celebrated at my church with many other young students. We shared great laughs and made new friendships. Then we were asked how we'd spend our youth day and challenged to somehow celebrate the day in a meaningful way.

The deepest definition of youth is life as yet untouched by tragedy.
Alfred North Whitehead

16 June 2011 was a tragic day. We were all striken with utter shock and disbelief when we had heard that a great friend to many, a beautiful ambitious 18 year old girl, was killed in a motor accident.
She was a few days away from traveling overseas to dance in Italy.
She had so much amazing potential. Its impossible to believe.
''Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.''
That was one of her favorite quotes.
My heart goes out to the Moore Family.
You are in my prayers.

Keep dancing Courtney.

Your beautiful.

Hear you me: Jimmy eat world
There's no one in town I know
You gave us some place to go.
I never said thank you for that.
I thought I might get one more chance.
What would you think of me now,
so lucky, so strong, so proud?
I never said thank you for that,
now I'll never have a chance.
May angels lead you in.
Hear you me my friends.
On sleepless roads the sleepless go.
May angels lead you in.
So what would you think of me now,
so lucky, so strong, so proud?
I never said thank you for that,
now I'll never have a chance.
May angels lead you in.
Hear you me my friends.
On sleepless roads the sleepless go.
May angels lead you in.
May angels lead you in.
May angels lead you in.
And if you were with me tonight,
I'd sing to you just one more time.
A song for a heart so big,
god wouldn't let it live.
May angels lead you in.
Hear you me my friends.
On sleepless roads the sleepless go.
May angels lead you in.
May angels lead you in.
Hear you me my friends.
On sleepless roads the sleepless go.
May angels lead you in.
May angels lead you in.

A little more procrastination

A little more procrastination
I have so many things to still do, my list feels like its never ending, remaining exams, matric ball, university applications and portfolio work, drivers, birthday.. and so it goes on and on..
So what more constructive way to deal with it all.. than google away petty pictures.
That’s procrastination for you
Him and I became super tight these exams

Free spirit
There is something about birds that’s captured me. Feathers especially.
Which has lead to a few jewelry purchases and now its got me looking at tattoo’s. My parents will probably skin me alive if I did. But these are so beautiful.

Procrastination.

So I may have picked my camera up once during my exams. I had colour coded my socks, named them an alphabetized them. And was off to some more constructive procrastination when my camera jumped into my arms. It was a rainy day. So I didn’t have too much to work with:P
The clouds seemed so different that day.

Oh, la

Braai:]
A lovely get together with my friends. I only have the 3 photographs because my life was being threatened because my flash was blinding:] ah guess they wont be aspiring for stardom. I can see the headline “New movie star arrested for The murder of paparazzi.”

The Wedding:

I attended a wedding in April or march.. not entirely sure when. I was just a plus one, so I didn’t know the bride and groom personally an it was a chilly, rainy day. And my date and I thought the wedding was the day after..so when we heard it was that Wednesday..i had a little under an hour to get rid of all my griminess and look ladylike.
In the end I wore jeans, Apparently that’s a definite fashion disaster. In my defense..i dressed it up well:/
So as you’ve gathered. I was not keen on this wedding. But once the bride walked down the isle, I turned into a typical mushy female. Not something I’m awfully proud of. And I got some lovely photo’s.  It ended up being an enchanting day.

 They were praying:] Adorable

The groom's a pilot, so we threw paper jets instead of confetti:]

 My table manners:P
