Holly Holiday

There are no words to describe how blissful my holiday has been up until now.
I have not completed a quarter of the things on my list but I’ve done so much more. And it has been so refreshing after the long year that has just passed.
Every year we go away to our beach house in kleinmond.
It’s a very quaint teeny tiny town, well “dorpie”
It is an Afrikaans town with one spar and OK, a PEP store and 2 or 3 slow restaurants.
An to be utterly honest I loathed the fact that we were going back there this year.
I cant help finding myself twiddling m thumbs there.
But this year was impressively different.
The town buzzed with holiday makers and the smell of sea ear was so refreshing.
We ended up having a great time playing ball games, board games, a few computer games in the evenings.
We went on fishing adventures where I caught the 1st fish
We also went paddle skiing in the local lagoon.
Adventures on the beach and the high light was when we went to a dune which occupied ¾ of a mountain in bettys bay and we attempted sand boarding
Take a peek:)
 Monday

exploring the dunes a few days before we attempted sandboarding:)
we climbed all the way to the highest point.
 Tip:
Hills, especially dune hills, are steeper and higher than it seems.
 a favorite picture:)

 Desktop wallpaper?
:D
 A handful of contrasting textures.

 SAND BOARDING!

Rory challenged the dune first:)

Then Matt and his video recordings.
i stood merrily on the side and spectated.
quite the coward i must admit.

Sam stood within seconds.
champion:)

"if sam can do it, i can too"
not the wisest words..

I nearly had it,
that's pretty erect in my standards.

And so i fell:)

and my foot did not agree with the angle in which i fell
I decided to go on my bum from then onwards:)

My favorite photograph of the day:)
 Impossible to capture,
but the wind was so intense it made little whirl winds with the sea' mist.
too beautiful.
i love the way the wind plays with the top of the waves.
almost as much as i love the beauty of the playful winds and fallen leaves.
both similar yet opposite:)

 despite the wind,
I've never seen the sea look so paradise like.
Koggelbay or Maldives?
:)
Proud to live in this breathtaking area.

Even mountains enjoy a little shade cover.
View of the Heldeburg Mountain from Sir Lowrys pass:)

Bonding:)
 Edited into Bianca's Henna tattoo:)
We may be going on 18
but we share the delight in being childish and drawing inappropriate symbols on our bucket list:)

 List 1: 2011 bucket list
List 2: The near future:)

you cannot find a skin type more enjoyable than mine.
i find it close to impossible to gain any sort of tan.
and when i finally bronze enough to look less European
it peels off.
Now im back to my pale usual self.

 Tie dye:)
Some find it kitsch
i find it mesmorising:)
i love the patterns:)
 My Henna tattoo from Bianca
took about an hour:/
using a tooth pick and her imaginative mind:)

Swing ball:)

We played alot this holiday:)

Do you see the cricket?

i love the essence of this photograph:)

In it to win it:P
sometimes things get a little too competitive:P

And thats been my holiday up until now
plus or minus:)
